ANNOUNCING RANDA BUCKWALTER EMS SCHOLARSHIP

Fivepointville Ambulance is proud to announce the establishment of the Randa Buckwalter EMS Scholarship in honor of their former volunteer AEMT, Randa Buckwalter. Randa lost her battle with ALS earlier this year, but her legacy and passion for EMS will live on through this scholarship.

Randa was a dedicated member of Fivepointville Ambulance for many years, serving her community with a selfless commitment to helping others. She was a mentor to many, and her passion for EMS inspired those around her to pursue careers in the field. Despite being diagnosed with ALS, Randa continued to serve as long as she was able, and remained a source of strength and inspiration to her colleagues.

The Randa Buckwalter EMS Scholarship has been established to honor Randa's memory and continue her legacy of service to the community. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to individuals pursuing a career in EMS or a related field. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and commitment to community service.

"We are honored to establish this scholarship in memory of Randa Buckwalter," says Fivepointville Ambulance President Shannon Martin. "Randa was an exceptional volunteer AEMT who gave so much to her community. We hope that this scholarship will inspire others to follow in her footsteps and pursue a career in EMS."

The Randa Buckwalter EMS Scholarship will be an annual award of $2,000. The scholarship application deadline is June 1, 2023. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievement, leadership potential, community involvement, volunteer spirit and commitment to the EMS profession. The scholarship will be open to applicants from the Fivepointville Ambulance service area and the southeast region. Interested individuals can submit application attached or send inquiries to fivepointvillerandascholarship@gmail.com.

"We are grateful for the support of the community in establishing this scholarship," says President Martin. "We believe that it is a fitting tribute to Randa's legacy of service, and we look forward to supporting the next generation of EMS professionals."
