At 7:43 in the morning, while our ambulance crew was sitting down for breakfast at a local restaurant, Ambulance 3-19-1 was dispatched for an auto accident with entrapment. Station 3-14 (Fivepointville), Rescue 3-9 (New Holland), and Medic 4 (Ephrata) were also dispatched. Deputy 3-14 (Mains) arrived and advised of an SUV on its side with patients inside but not appearing to be injured. Ambulance 3-19-1 arrived and started to stabilize the patients while the fire company and rescue decided how to get the pt’s out. It was decided that since the pt’s stated they were not hurt the front windshield was removed and both patients climbed out through the windshield. Both patients were checked out by the volunteers from the Fivepointville Ambulance and both signed off. Ambulance 3-19-1 returned available at 8:33.
