Station 3-6 (Goodville) was operating in the 300 block of Reading Road assisting a farmer with “hot hay” in the barn. Due to high temperatures and humidity Chief 3-6 (Gobber) requested Ambulance 3-19-1 be dispatched to assist with rehab. The volunteers from Ambulance 3-19-1 were dispatched at 15:17 hrs and responded at 15:19 hrs. Upon arrival the crew set up a rehab area complete with our rehab fan, ice,and water. Assistance was also provided by neighbors who brought out refreshing meadow tea and cookies. Neighbors and firefighters alike spent several hours taking hay out of the barn and staking it in a field to prevent a fire in the barn. Ambulance 3-19-1 was released by command at 16:49 hours.
