The week of July 14 proved to be a very
busy week for our volunteers. The annual Terre Hill Days
celebration was being held in Terre Hill Boro. The event started
off Wednesday night with a parade to celebrate the Terre Hill
Fire Companies 100th anniversary. Many area companies
came together for a parade through town and were judged for the
best apparatus at the conclusion of the parade. The
Fivepointville Ambulance Service was able to hold 3 trophies.
Thursday night started one of our annual fund raisers of selling
french fries. As with the past couple years, we again teamed up
with the Fivepointville Fire Company and sold meat ball
sandwiches along with our french fries. Saturday morning our
volunteers were up bright and early and stood by along with an
ambulance from New Holland for the 5k run. Later in the day
Ambulance 3-19-1 stood by for the running of the outhouses and
then that evening Ambulance 3-19-1 and Ambulance 3-19-2 stood by
at the Terre Hill park for the evenings fire works show. Our
members treated several people for minor injures and several
transports had to be made due to the excessive heat. Thank you
to all our members who spend countless hours to keep our trucks
running and for helping with fund raisers such as this.
