At 11:23 am Ambulance 3-19-1 was dispatched along with Station 3-3 (Bowmansville), Rescue 3-9 (New Holland), and Medic 9 (Ephrata Hospital) for an auto accident with confinement in the area of 1067 Reading Rd in Brecknock Township. Deputy 3-3 (Good) arrived on scene and confirmed a car off the road into a guardrail with one trapped. EMS Chief 3-19 (High) arrived just behind Deputy 3-3 and started treating the patient prior to the arrival of the ambulance. Rescue 3-9 and Station 3-3 worked to remove the passenger door of the car which allowed the patient to be removed from the vehicle. The patient was transported to a local trauma center for evaluation.
