Over the past several months the Fivepointville Ambulance Service has been using a loaner from our ambulance dealer Pfund Superior Sales. This ambulance is being used while our 2002 ambulance was being remounted and our 2007 truck is getting some warranty work done. This evening the on duty crew noticed a strong foul smell in the station and investigated to find the batteries on the loaner truck boiling over. The crew removed the ambulances from the station. Captain 3-14 (Pfautz) who was across the street at the fire company was contacted to come over and investigate our station. Captain 3-14 brought over the Engine 3-14 with some fans to air out the station. Thank you to Captain 3-14 and FF H. Pfautz for your assistance in mitigating this situation.
