Saturday September 12 turned out to be a
very long day for our volunteers. The morning started out with
going to Brubacher Excavating for a stand by at a safety day.
Brubacher’s holds an annual safety day to reinforce the value of
safety to its employees. Ambulance 3-19-1 had the chance to see
some of the operations of Brubachers and the amount of time they
spend in keeping their employees safe. We would like to thank
Brubacher Excavating for allowing us to spend the morning with
them.
At 11:15 hrs as we were leaving Brubachers
Ambulance 3-19-1 was dispatched to assist stating 1-8 (Reinholds)
and Ambulance 1-8 (Reinholds) for an accident with injuries on
route 897 and Chapel View Dr. Ambulance 3-19-1 arrived and
assisted with patient care and transported one patient to a
local hospital.
After returning from the hospital,
Ambulance 3-19-1 went to Station 3-14 (Fivepointville) for a
Hero’s day. The Fivepointville Fire Company has been holding a
Hero’s day for three years now. This day is set aside to honor
all the members of the emergency services. State police,
fire/rescue, and search teams were on hand to demonstrate their
abilities for the community. We would like to thank the
Fivepointville Fire Company members for organizing the event and
allowing us to show the community a little bit of what we do.
