3-19 DISPATCHED TO VEHICLE ACCIDENT

The Fivepointville Ambulance responded with assistance from Ephrata Hospital's Medic 4 and the Bowmansville Fire Company for a vehicle accident in the 1700 Blk of Bowmansville Road. The crew from the Bowmansville Fire Company did an awesome job clearing trees and brush away and gaining access to the patient. Within 10 minutes the patient had been safely removed from the vehicle. The driver was transported to the Reading Hospital for evaluation

2011 MEMBER APPRECIATION BANQUET

The Fivepointville Ambulance Association met on Friday evening, March 16th for its annual member appreciation banquet.  This banquet is held every year to show appreciation to the members who ran calls and served the association during the past year.

Three special awards were given out. They were to Janice Martin for Volunteer of the year, Kirsten Yoder for Crew Chief of the year, and Jim Martin for Driver of the year. Thank you to all that help us each and every year to make our service a success. Thank you also to Reinholds Ambulance for standing by while our members enjoyed some time off. The Reinholds crew answered one call for service during their time covering our station.

ACCIDENT WITH REPORTED ENTRAPMENT

On February 23, 2012 - Ambulance 3-19-1 was dispatched to Martindale Road for an accident with reported entrapment.  Patient was extricated and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

SQUAD 3-19

On January 7, 2012 - Fivepointville Ambulance placed into service a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. This truck, certified as a QRS unit is designated as Squad 3-19. Special thanks to all that helped get the truck ready.

FIVEPOINTVILLE AMBULANCE RECOGNIZED

Merv Wertz, Reading Hospital and Medical Center EMS Liaison, attended the December, 2011, Fivepointville Ambulance Association Member's Meeting and presented the Association with a framed copy of the "Words of Wellness" issue, in which an article highlighted a presentation on a case review regarding a cardiac arrest save.  JOB WELL DONE!!
